A "folk" product of "North Evia" Brand, the smoked herring, acquired an upgraded image and packaging.
Smoked herring carries with it a long history regarding its ideal method of preparation (with a lit newspaper wrapped in a roll) and its consumption by the working class primarily. Building upon this fact, we created a newspaper (named "The Smoked Herring") on the packaging, featuring a main article about the quality characteristics of smoked herring and the history of its cooking method.
The packaging, flexo printed, includes a window that allows half part of the fish to be visible, giving the impression that it is folded inside the newspaper. The black primary background color emphasizes the golden color of the fish and is adding a premium touch to the product.
